On 27th August a bus load of us went on a day trip to see the Cabinet War rooms and The Houses of Parliament. It was good that the day was sunny as the bus was a little late. Wet weather AND a late bus would NOT have been a good start!

As it happened, it was 70 years to the day since the War Rooms opened in preparation for WW2.
